Improv for those impacted by US Government shutdown

Second City, Chicago and Washington Improv Theatre have both opened their doors to furloughed workers as the US Government shutdown enters a second month.

 

Washington Improv Theater recently held a workshop that had participants from Environmental Protection Agency, Department of Housing and Urban Development, Department of Agriculture which they provided free for government workers.

 

Meantime in Chicago, Second City opened its doors to offer free comedy show tickets, enjoy dinner on the house at 1959 Kitchen & Bar, and participate in free improvisation drop-in classes to any federal employees with valid government ID.

In addition the organisation donated $2000 to the Greater Chicago Food Depository to help those working without a pay check.
