Owners of Leicester fringe venue Upstairs At The Western have announced they intend to stand down from the running of the venue, meaning the 42 seat venue is looking for a new team to run its varied program of fringe shows.
The Western has two resident improv companies. The Same Faces perform their Uncle Armando show every month and musical improv company Rhymes Against Humanity also perform monthly.
Due to changes in their personal circumstances, the current directors of the company wish to pass the ownership of the theatre on as a going concern. This could be by a new group of directors taking on the existing CIC, by transfer to another company, through merger with another company or through takeover by another company.
Two information evenings are being held on 24th and 30th January for people interested in finding out more.
Details of the evenings are available at the Western’s website
