“Lloydie and Liam expertly weave tenderness into one of the funniest improv shows you’ll ever see.” - Elana Fishbein, Magnet Theater, New York

Performed by Improv Chronicle host Lloydie James Lloyd and his duo partner Liam Webber, The Clones has been performed to high acclaim in London, Belfast, Dublin, Chicago, Sydney and Nottingham. It has been featured multiple times at the Nottingham Comedy Festival.

The Clones are seasoned performers Lloydie James Lloyd and Liam Webber, the co-founders of the Robin Hood International Improv Festival.. With no script, no staging and only a pair of chairs for a set, they spin a simple audience suggestion into a hilarious, spontaneous one-act play. Plots and sub-plots galore, and a cast of characters effortlessly juggled by the veteran long-form improvisers. This is comedy theatre like you’ve never seen it before. You will laugh, you may cry… Who knows what’ll happen? They sure don’t.

Lloydie performs with Rhymes Against Humanity – The Improvised Musical, The Clones - a two person improvised play alongside Liam Webber, and Brand New Musical, a Sondheim inspired musical show alongside Katy Schutte. He produces the podcast Kornfeld And Andrews: The Radio Plays and conceived and produced the improvised radio series Dead British. Lloydie runs the improv program for the Nottingham Playhouse theatre and is a director of Little John Improv in Nottingham.

Liam is Lead Producer for The Pretend Company and was nominated for the BBC New Comedy Award for his one person show Crone. He’s a former shows producer at Improv Theatre Sydney and has taught and performed internationally. He has performed in Nottingham with Rhymes Against Humanity, and is a member of the Let The Good Times Roll podcast.

This year The Clones are performing at Nottingham Comedy Festival on Sunday 1st November 2026.
